This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of transportation, site development, water resources, and other infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will apply geotechnical engineering principles to support planning, design, and construction efforts across multiple markets.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform geotechnical investigations, including planning, field exploration, laboratory testing coordination, and data reduction.Prepare geotechnical reports, foundation recommendations, slope stability analyses, and settlement evaluations.Support design of foundations, retaining structures, embankments for roadways and railways, flood control systems and pavement systems.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, and environmental engineers.Assist with construction support services such as submittal reviews, field observations, and problem resolution.Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project coordination activities.Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical development within the team.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation & Experience:Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering required.Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.Minimum of 4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.Experience working on geotechnical projects in transportation corridors, site development, facilities and water/wastewater systems preferred.Technical Skills:Proficiency in geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, LPILE, SLIDE, PLAXIS, or similar tools.Familiarity with subsurface exploration techniques and laboratory testing standards.Strong understanding of soil-structure interaction and geotechnical design principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical report writing.Soft Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines.Effective time management and organizational skills.Willingness to travel for field assignments and client meetings.Valid driver’s license required.Working at HansonCollaborate remotely and in-person with colleagues across multiple offices.Participate in diverse projects that improve infrastructure and serve communities.Access professional development opportunities and mentorship.Contribute to Hanson’s commitment to technical excellence, sustainability, and client satisfaction.Salary range: $85,000 - $120,000BenefitsOur focus on people means we offer a generous benefits program to help you create a solid foundation for health and security throughout your career, including:Competitive compensationPerformance bonuses401(k) with matching contributionEmployee Stock Ownership PlanComprehensive health & well-being plansFinancial wellness plansWork-life balance programsWant to know more?
